Hi — I'm the person who built CodeTrained. I'm a computer science student, and I have dyslexia.
The usual way of learning to code never really worked for me. Walls of text and endless theory just slid off. What made it stick was typing the code out myself, line by line, until my hands knew it as well as my head.
So I built the tool I wished I'd had: a place where you learn by typing real code, with everything kept clear and easy on the eyes — short pieces, no clutter, instant feedback, no pressure.
CodeTrained is a solo project, and it's still young. I'm building it in the open and improving it all the time. If something's broken or could be better, I really want to know — there's a feedback button on every page.
Thanks for being here, and happy typing.
Whole books worth of real code, organized into chapters. Type your way through Python, JavaScript, algorithms, web development and SQL.
Type real code that creates animations, games and art. See it run live.
Click ▶ Run to execute this code.
Find the one broken line and repair it. Tap the highlighted line, edit it, then check your fix. Stuck? Use a hint.
Study the code for 30 seconds, then write it from memory. The single best way to make patterns stick.
Saved locally — private, no tracking.
Pro unlocks every book, all Visual Lab exercises and cross-device sync — the tools that make CodeTrained worth coming back to. (Dead Code, the story, all 47 challenges and the AI tutor stay free for everyone.)
